Be Interesting (“we,” “us,” “our”) is operated by Point Dynamics. We provide an AI-powered social intelligence training platform available at beinteresting.ai and through our mobile application (collectively, the “Service”).

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and avatar (if provided) through our authentication provider, Clerk.

Profile and preference data

To personalize your experience, we build a profile based on what you share in conversations. This may include your interests, preferences, opinions, social context, learning goals, and communication style. You can view and delete any stored profile facts at any time from your Memory page.

Conversation data

We store your conversations with the AI, including messages, timestamps, and metadata. Conversations are the core of the service — they're used to teach you, track your progress, and personalize future interactions.

Learning and progress data

We track knowledge entries, quiz results, briefing interactions, review schedules, learning goals, and engagement streaks to power spaced repetition and personalized learning.

Technical data

We collect your timezone, device type, and notification preferences. We do not use third-party analytics trackers or advertising SDKs.

• Personalization: Your profile and conversation history power a persistent memory system that tailors every interaction to you.
• Learning delivery: We use your data to generate daily briefings, quizzes, and spaced repetition reviews.
• Service improvement: We analyze aggregate, de-identified usage patterns to improve the product.
• Communication: We send briefings and optional notifications at your preferred time via your chosen channel.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not train AI models on your personal conversations.

Your conversations are processed by third-party AI models (through OpenAI and OpenRouter) to generate responses, extract profile facts, create briefings, and run quizzes. These providers process data per their terms of service but do not retain your data for their own model training when accessed through their API.

We also generate vector embeddings of your content for semantic search and memory retrieval. These embeddings are stored in our database, not shared externally.

We use the following third-party services:

• Clerk — Authentication and account management
• OpenAI / OpenRouter — AI model inference for conversations, learning content, and memory extraction
• Neon — PostgreSQL database hosting
• Twilio — Optional SMS notifications (only if you enable them)
• Trigger.dev — Background job processing for briefings and scheduled tasks

Each service processes only the minimum data required for its function.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual profile facts, conversations, or your entire account at any time. When you delete your account, all associated data — including conversations, profile facts, learning progress, and embeddings — is permanently deleted via cascading deletion.

We protect your data with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Authentication tokens are stored securely. Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel.

No system is 100% secure. If we become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you promptly.

You can, at any time:

• Access your data through the Memory and Settings pages
• Delete individual facts, conversations, or your entire account
• Export your data by contacting us
• Opt out of optional notifications

If you are in the EU/EEA, you have additional rights under GDPR including the right to rectification, restriction of processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact us to exercise these rights.

Be Interesting is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
